Container gardening

Living in a titchy little apartment, with no real yard, I've had to find new ways to get my plants in. I have my marigolds in traditional wooden window boxes. My herbs are in plastic window boxes out the back door. My tomatoes are in inverted two liter soda bottles. They are an experiment, this year. So far they are the healthiest in the neighborhood!

Four clay pigeons

While I was slaving away at work, Laura hit the range with her father. It was her first time shooting trap, and she nailed four of them. Here she is this evening having drinks on the porch, wearing her new NRA shirt. Yes, I do know how lucky I am.

Mount St. Alphonsus

La and I spent the morning in New Paltz, attending Mass at St Joesph. I took 9W half of the way back up to Albany to show La Mount St. Alphonsus. I'm hoping we do our pre-Caana Engaged Encounter weekend there.

Fishing in Columbia County

Spent the holiday weekend in Dutchess County. I escaped for a few hours on the fifth to hit a trout stream. Laura took the opportunity to ham it up and nap.
